Chroma — Wear the Ganzfeld
The Ganzfeld Effect occurs when the eyes are exposed to an unstructured equiluminant field. The effect gives rise to hallucinations, as the brain tries to impose structure on ambiguous space. The intent of the work is to recreate the ganzfeld effect with a localized intervention on the eyeball, using subtle variations in brightness and color to blur the boundaries between light perception and hallucination. 7 minute performance.
